Hairy T North Winter Standard Invitational Season The Invitational Top Banner

All told, the HTN Winter Standard Invitational Season stretches across 9 weeks and 71 events – including 63 weekly events, 7 Grand Prix Trials and a Pro Tour Qualifier. At the end of this epic contest, 64 determined cardboard warriors will punch their ticket into:

The Hairy T North Winter Standard Invitational Tournament

March 30th, 2014 at the Hairy Tarantula North

1:00PM Registration – 1:30PM Start

Free Entry: By Invitation Only

Standard Constructed Format – Competitive REL

6 Rounds of Swiss (by attendance) – Cut to top 8

Over $500 in prizes to be won at this event!

How can you qualify for the Invitational? Easy, just:

  • Finish in the top 4 of any one of the 7 Grand Prix Trials or the Pro Tour Qualifier the Hairy Tarantula will be running this season. This will produce a maximum of 32 invites – please remember that these invitations do not pass down in the (likely) event that a player top 4′s more than one of these events.
  • Collect 3 first place finishes in any of our weekly events throughout the entire 9 week qualifying season.
  • All remaining slots in the Invitational will be filled by the competitors with the highest total match points in all weekly Standard or Friday Night Magic events over the course of the 9 week qualifying season. Please note that this total does not include your results at GPT’s or our PTQ – but these invitations do pass down (until we get 64 unique players).

For a complete schedule of WSIS events, please check our Event Schedule page – including weekly events, Grand Prix trials and our Jan 18th Pro Tour Qualifier!
